| Happy February all!!
Zoey is one month old now...and I just can't even believe it!! She has changed so much from the time she was born. She is still not back up to her birth weight, but she is getting close! She has grown an inch in length though! I just can't get over how alert that she is! When she is not asleep, those eyes are opened soo wide and she is just so fascinated with the world around her. She is also starting to smile! It is the cutest thing ever!!
Here is some news though...we are moving back to Spring Grove, PA. We are moving into an apartment that my dad built. It was a hard decision, but overall the best one for us right now. I am going to miss this area and all my friends here that is for sure, but hopefully one day we will be able to move back and get a house here. We will probably be out there by the end of Feb, so it is definitely sooner than we had expected, but I know God has opened up this door for us. It will be a blessing to have Zoey so close to her Nana and Papaw.
That is all the news around here. Hope all are doing well!

Look how bright-eyed my little princess is!!!

This is Zoey after her first bath at Nana's house!! She is sooo cute!!

Fast asleep in Aunt Kerry's arms.

Getting ready to fall asleep on the couch.

Just chillin and looking at mommy.
As promised, here are some more pictures of my adorable little girl! You just have to melt!! She is 2 weeks old now and just too adorable, I must say!! The hardest part of mommy hood has been her being spoiled by everyone wanting to hold her all the time. I can't put her down for anything. We are working on breaking that though, otherwise I am never going to get anything done around this house!!
She is still not back to her birth weight yet...she is at 7lbs and 2oz, so we have 9oz left to go to get back there. Her next appt with the Dr is a week from today, so hopefully she will have gained more weight by then.
Spent the weekend at my mom's house while Mark was in Greenville, SC for a conference. I had a wonderful time. My mom makes me feel so much more at ease about things, and is a awesome help with her. It is just nice to have someone be able to take the baby and watch her after she eats, so I can get some real rest for a few hours. Otherwise I am up every time the baby makes any noise or makes any movements. What a blessing Nana is to us!
| Everyone welcome ...ZOEY PAIGE MILLER!!!

She was born on Friday, December 30th, 2005 at 1:16AM. She was 7lbs and 11oz and 20 3/4 inches long. She is definitely the most beautiful baby ever!!! I went into labor on Wed morning at 7AM and had contractions at home all day and all night long. Finally after no sleep and complete exhaustion, the pain was just getting to much to bear. We went into the Dr. office at 10AM on Thursday morning for them to check me. They said I was only 2-3cm (after all that!) but that they could see I was in some serious pain and hadn't slept in over 24 hours. They sent me to the hospital to get this going. We got to the hospital and they gave me some Staydol to take the edge off the pain and help me to get some sleep for the hours that lie ahead. After about an hour of the meds, the Dr. came in and broke my water to get things progressing better. At that point, things started to really pick up and since I was so exhausted, we decided to start the epidural. The Dr. started the Pitocin at the same time as well to help things progress. After the epidural was in...it was soo much better! I was finally able to relax and get some sleep. (Except for the millions of nurses that were in and out checking on me) After 4 hours I was 6-7cm and then after an hour, I was at 91/2 almost 10 cm!!! I pushed for 11/2 hours and then the Dr. came in to deliver her. He got this worried look on his face, and then told us that she was sunny side up, and it was going to be rough pushing her out like that. (just for the record...not something that you should tell someone that is laying there exhausted and already scared out of her mind!). Anyways, he said he was going to try to turn her and praise the Lord she flipped over!!! Another few pushes and she was out!!!
Because I had developed a fever of 103.7 during labor, they had to have some pediatricians come into the room and then take her over to the NICU when she was born. She had to spend the night over there, so they could make sure the fever had not passed over to her and to get antibiotics in her. (thus the cast looking thing on her arm in the pictures.) I did get 2 mins with her before they whisked her away...She was just the most beautiful baby ever!!! It was definitely one of the most special memories ever the 2nd greatest day of my life!
Mark and I are so proud of her and love her more than words or thoughts could express. I can't wait for everyone to get to meet her in person!
(we are working on getting some more pictures of her uploaded to the computer ASAP!)
| So...again...it is past midnight, and I am wide awake. Anyone ever heard of that restless leg syndrome? Yeah, I know the commercials are silly...but I will tell ya, it is not a silly matter. It is the reason that I can't get to sleep at nights. As soon as I lie down they just start to spasm and it keeps me awake for hours. It does it when I am just sitting down watching tv too. uggg...the only way to get any relief is to get up and walk around. Hopefully I will be able to get to sleep before 2 tonight.
Anyways, good news is ...Mark and I got a video camera!! We ended up having several gift cards and had to return some things that were duplicates, and wala! It is such a blessing, and I am so happy that we have it for the baby!! We also got a robe tonight for me when I am in the hospital, and I wanted to get a pair of pj's ...but nothing was what I wanted...there was nothing cute out. So maybe I will look online and see what I can find. The best part was just being able to spend time with my amazing hubby!! He is just so awesome!
Anyways, that is all for now. Can you believe that Christmas is like...in 2 days?!?!?!? This year has just flown by!!!
Good-night all! | | |
